The Kinesthetic Loop
Kinesthetic Sense is the process that regulates and guides voluntary movement, involving both movement awareness and decision-making.
Movement forms: Patterns that are aesthetically fulfilling.
There is a link between nature and movement, as well as between humans and movement. Depending on the age group, movement starts to develop.
Besides the aesthetic aspect of movement, there are functional and health reasons.
Objectives have to do with the senses; subjective is how you interpret them.
Self-identification with experience.
The kinesthetic experience is a loop of communication running back and forth from the body to the brain. The two phases are awareness of objective and subjective, and the second is expression through the body.
We must provide a place where the kids sense, feel, and experience kinesthetic movement.
The connection between language and dance. The students must pick a word and associate a movement with each word. Everybody gets one word assigned to them, and then they will also learn everyone else's move. At the end of class, they will do it with the song.
Objective - this activity strengthens their memory by making them learn and recall their peers movement/what word it is connected to. It is also a fun way for them to get to know each other and build community.
